About the Event
FtO Tainan 2019 was the second Facing the Ocean event. Civic hackers from Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan came together in Tainan to work on shared projects and lay the foundation for what would become an annual community event.
Projects from this event included early work on Herstory of East Asia and open data responses to public health challenges in the region.
